Linguine (literally: ‘little tongues’) is one of the most popular long pasta shapes from Italy’s coastal regions.
Whereas spaghetti is round, linguine is flat and slightly elliptical in shape. This ‘Km0’ (Kilometro Zero) variety is the absolute flagship of Pastificio Caccese’s local and sustainable philosophy. Thanks to its unique, flat structure, this pasta offers a larger surface area to which sauces cling perfectly. Linguine has traditionally been the number one choice for refined fish and seafood dishes—think of a classic Linguine alle Vongole or linguine with scampi and sweet cherry tomatoes. What’s more, its flowing shape pairs fabulously with silky-smooth pestos and light sauces based on olive oil and fresh herbs.
With this Km0 Linguine, you can enjoy authentic Italian cuisine in the comfort of your own home, selected exclusively for you by Kelvini.
We bring only the very best from the very top of the market to your kitchen, sourced from a small-scale producer that has been officially recognised by Gambero Rosso – the prestigious Italian equivalent of the Michelin Guide – as one of the top 100 Italian pasta producers.
The base consists of 100% superior-quality durum wheat, which is grown entirely under our own management on the sun-drenched fields in the hills of Campania (Km 0) and kneaded with pure spring water. As we are committed to a purely natural growing process, the grain is guaranteed to be 100% free from pesticides and glyphosate. This results in an exceptionally high natural protein content (17g per 100g) and a deep, full-bodied grain flavour. Thanks to the authentic extrusion through bronze dies (trafilata al bronzo) and an extremely patient, slow drying process at a low temperature, the pasta retains its characteristic rough texture. This ensures optimal sauce adhesion and an unrivalled al dente bite after a cooking time of 9 minutes.
