What does ‘Polpa Finissima’ mean?
‘Polpa’ means tomato pulp, and ‘Finissima’ refers to the particularly fine cut.
Unlike a smooth passata, Polpa Finissima still contains small pieces of tomato. This means your sauce retains a natural texture without large chunks of tomato.

Two handy 210-gram tins

A simple Italian pasta sauce
Heat a dash of extra virgin olive oil in a pan and add a lightly crushed clove of garlic.
Let the garlic release its aroma gently, then add one or two tins of Cirio Polpa Finissima.
Leave the sauce to simmer gently for about 15 minutes. Add fresh basil and mix with the pasta, cooked al dente.
If desired, finish with freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano.
