Farfalle: the Italian pasta in the shape of small butterflies

In Italian cuisine, the shape of the pasta is at least as important as the sauce with which you serve it.

Garofalo Farfalle N°78 is a beautiful example of this tradition.

The name farfalle literally means butterflies. The pasta has two elegant wings that are pinched in the middle.

During cooking, the pleated core takes on a slightly firmer texture than the thin ends. This gives farfalle a particularly pleasant bite.

This pasta shape is ideal for creamy sauces, pesto, vegetables, and cold Italian pasta salads.

Garofalo – Pasta tradition since 1789

The history of Pastificio Garofalo dates back to 1789.

The brand is closely linked to Gragnano, an Italian town in Campania that is world-renowned for its pasta tradition.

By combining centuries-old knowledge with modern production techniques, Garofalo has developed an extensive range of Italian pasta types.

Garofalo Farfalle N°78 belongs to the line of traditional pasta made from durum wheat semolina.
