Espresso Casa Moka 3 Cups – Traditional Italian Coffee Maker made of Aluminium
A small piece of Italian coffee culture
In Italy, coffee is much more than a drink. It is a daily ritual, a moment of hospitality, and a tradition passed down from generation to generation.
One of the most well-known symbols of this tradition is the moka, the characteristic Italian coffee pot that has been found in Italian kitchens for decades.
With the Espresso Casa Moka for 3 cups you can prepare delicious, strong coffee at home using the traditional Italian method.
What makes this moka special?
The Espresso Casa is made of aluminium and features the distinctive design of a classic Italian moka pot.
The coffee maker consists of a water reservoir, a filter for ground coffee, and an upper chamber where the brewed coffee collects.
By heating the water, pressure is created that pushes the water through the ground coffee.
The result is a small amount of strong, aromatic coffee with a pronounced flavour.
The benefits of the Espresso Casa Moka
Aluminium construction: the traditional material of many Italian moka pots.
Capacity for 3 cups: suitable for three small Italian coffees, not for three large mugs.
Ergonomic handle: designed for practical use.
Safety valve: present in the lower water reservoir.
Food-grade silicone seal: ensures a good seal between the parts.
How do you make the perfect Italian coffee with a moka?
Requirements
Preparation
Fill the lower reservoir with water up to just below the safety valve.
Place the filter in the reservoir.
Fill the filter with ground coffee, without pressing it down.
Gently level the coffee.
Screw the top firmly onto the lower reservoir.
Place the moka on a suitable hob with moderate heat.
Wait until the coffee appears in the upper reservoir.
Remove the moka from the heat source when the coffee has almost fully brewed.
Stir the coffee gently and serve immediately.
Kelvini's tip: do not let the coffee boil for too long. This prevents the taste from becoming unnecessarily bitter.
What coffee do you use in a moka?
For a moka, it is preferable to use coffee that has been specially ground for this brewing method.
An excellent combination is Kimbo Macinato Fresco 250 g, a dark roasted, ground coffee with a pronounced Neapolitan character.
This combination is particularly suitable for lovers of strong Italian coffee.
Also ideal for an authentic tiramisu.
For a classic Italian tiramisu, you need strong coffee.
With the Espresso Casa Moka, you prepare an aromatic coffee base that you then let cool before dipping the savoiardi or Pavesini in it.
Combine with mascarpone cream and finish with Perugina Cacao Amaro for a delicious Italian dessert.
Maintenance of your aluminium moka.
Allow the coffee maker to cool completely.
Gently unscrew the parts.
Remove the used coffee.
Rinse the parts with warm water.
Dry all parts carefully before reassembling the moka.
Regularly check the silicone seal and the safety valve.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents or abrasive materials. Preferably clean by hand.
Note: use the moka only on a heat source suitable for this model. Suitability for induction has not been confirmed.
